The area of the North West Province, where the lodge is located, is declared a Malaria-free area. Therefore, unless you are planning to travel to other areas in South Africa, you do not have to take any medication beforehand.

There is a private hospital located in the nearby town of Brits, which is a 40km drive away. If you are using chronic medication, please remember to pack enough for your entire stay. All medications should be in their prescribed packing along with all necessary prescriptions.

Additional Notes:
Essential for your safari are lightweight camouflage or khaki clothing, hats or caps, and light comfortable rubber-soled ankle-high walking boots. Wearing olive green or dark khaki-coloured clothing that blends into the surroundings enhances your overall experience.

If you’re susceptible to sore feet, consider wearing thicker socks and opt for a pair of robust hunting boots with rubber soles that lack lugs or cleats. Choose dark-coloured boots, avoiding white ones for optimal comfort and practicality.
Bring clothing that can be worn layered during colder months.

Keep in mind that laundry is done daily, so packing minimally is recommended.

  • If guests book the main private lodge, they will have exclusivity to the lodge as it is only booked out to 1 group at a time.
